Provatek operates redemption and provenance as a service to the houses named on its portals. Provatek does not make, sell, own or deliver any piece, holds no funds, and is not a party to any sale, quote or payment between a collector and a house. A collector’s rights in relation to a piece, including its quality, delivery and any refund, are against the house and are not reduced by these terms.

Provatek verifies that a token exists on the chain it claims, that a wallet holds or redeemed it at the time of the check, that a redemption was recorded, when and by which wallet, and that a change of delivery address was signed by a wallet on the account. Provatek does not verify, and makes no statement about, the authenticity, condition or value of any physical piece. That is the house’s statement.

Provatek does not control the Ethereum or Bitcoin networks and cannot promise that any transaction will be confirmed, or confirmed in time. A transaction, once sent, cannot be cancelled, changed or reversed by Provatek or anyone else. A collector is responsible for reviewing what their wallet shows before approving it.

A wallet and its keys belong to the collector. Provatek never holds them and cannot recover them. Provatek is not responsible for loss caused by a compromised wallet, a compromised email account, a site imitating a Provatek portal, or anyone a collector allows to use their session. Provatek will never ask for a key, a signature or a transfer by message.

This site and the portals are provided as they are. Provatek does not promise that they will be uninterrupted, free of error or available at any particular time, and may suspend them for maintenance or security. Records already written to a blockchain are not affected by a portal being unavailable, and Provatek’s own record of a redemption is kept independently of any portal.

Provatek is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from this site or a portal. Provatek’s total liability to any person arising from the service is limited to the greater of one hundred pounds and any sums that person has paid to Provatek in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales, including a consumer’s statutory rights.

The content of this site is Provatek’s and may be quoted with attribution. An enquiry sent through it is handled as the privacy notice describes. Automated use of the enquiry form is refused.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without prejudice to a consumer’s right to bring a claim where they live.
